macOS 26 Public Beta 1 (25A5316i) with OpenCore 1.0.5

With SecureBootModel set to Disabled, the installation could continue to the end. The second reboot was stuck, but a force reboot bypassed this issue. I initially thought it was caused by the boot-args lacking revpatch=sbvmm, but it resulted in the loop of reboots.

The USB mapping created via USBToolBox in 2023 no longer works with macOS 26 that I had to create a new USB mapping via the USBMap method, and it can work with not only macOS 26 but 15.

The installation did ask if I want to enable FileVault, and I didn’t. Later I also checked on Settings and FileVault is definitely disabled. It is said enabling would make macOS 26 no longer able to log in for Hackintosh.

AppleALC doesn’t work with macOS 26, and the system could detect the audio signal only to my monitor via DisplayPort. I’ve already made my speakers connect to my monitor long before the announcement of macOS 26, so the impact is minimal. I even heard the VoiceOver reminder during the installation.

Moreover, on macOS 26 Public Beta 1, the graphics acceleration is functional that Liquid Glass works as it should be. Bluetooth via a dongle is enabled, and this Hackintosh could sleep and wake up well.
